So if you have been around here for a while then you know we had a whirlwind start to the year! The day before I gave birth to Cooper, the bottom floor of our rent house flooded with 2 inches of standing water from a huge rain storm we had here in Seattle. Luckily, we had already purchased our home/property so we were able to head out there a few months early. We were supposed to finish up all renovations and move out there in July but obviously mother nature intervened and plans changed.
Our incredible contractors got to work as soon as we called and quickly turned half of the shop in to a Mother-In-Law suite. If you aren’t familiar, a Mother-In-Law suite is just a space off the main living area that typically has it’s own room, living area, bathroom, and sometimes kitchenette.
We are currently living in this 700 sqft space until our actual house renovations are finished and while it is beautiful and I am incredibly grateful, I am most definitely not a tiny house person! LOL.
This is the transformation of the space with a few before and after pictures! It turned out SO GOOD and they cranked all this out in about 2/3 weeks.
We have a pantry/storage closet that is not pictured and then two small bedrooms that fit a queen size bed that are not pictured. When we move in to the actual house we will continue to use this space for family and friends that come to visit. It has been quite the adventure in our tiny space but it has been fun and we are grateful to have this space for now and for future use!
