Working from home has been a one of my greatest blessings y’all, but it has some cons! I am the most type A, get things done, don’t let work pile up, type of person.. so, you can imagine it is hard for me to put it down! My work/office is literally 6 inches away from my bedroom, and my phone is in my hand probably 24/7. Unlike Jake’s job, where he can leave the firehouse/school and come home and be done! Naturally, he gets a little annoyed with my ongoing work life. I mean, rarely, since he is my biggest supporter but there are still times that he just wants me to himself! Which I totally understand and have made it a point to work on! We have decided to take a date night at least one night a week to spend time with just us! We are not fancy people, as you guys know, so we keep it casual! Usually mexican food, and a movie! Two of our favorite things! It is really amazing what throwing on a nice little outfit, and hitting the town with your best friend, can do for the soul! It is a nice reset button that gets me through the next week!
Like I said above, we are so simple and so casual, so we rarely get dressed up to the ninths! We are eating our weight in queso for peets sake! lol! So, I went to my favorite, one stop shop, Nordstrom and picked up a few Fall staple date items! One thing I love about Nordstrom, that I feel like a lot of people do not realize- they have great affordable items! Not only do they lavish/luxury items, but they have brands like BP which is affordable, cute, and always on trend! Nordstrom carries brands for every budget, style, personality, shape/size, and makes the stress of pulling an outfit together, so easy! I snagged my button up and jeans from their BP brand, which never lets me down! Then, picked up some OTK boots that can pair with virtually anything through Fall/Winter! Nordstrom is a great place to find staple items that are great quality and don’t break the bank!
Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! XOXOX
